About Brahmatal Trek:
The Brahmatal is a lake nestled deep into the mountains of Uttarakhand. Located amidst the majestic peaks of the Himalayas, this lake presents an alluring picture of nature at its purest. The temperature at the lake varies greatly with the weather. During the winter season, the temperature can go as low as -4 degrees during the night, while during the days the temperature reaches a maximum of 10 degrees. The first snow starts appearing late in December, and by the beginning of January, the entire peak is covered in a blanket of pristine white snow, this is one of the primary reasons why Brahmatal is the best trekking places in India and is one of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand in winters!
The Brahmatal trek takes you to an altitude of up to 12,350 ft, right in the mighty Himalayas in Uttarakhand. You trek through an endless expanse of pristine white snow, covering around 25 km, spread over the 6 days. The base camp for this trek to Brahmatal Lake is Lohajung, which itself is perched at an altitude of about 7,000 ft up in the mountains. This trek will introduce you to splendid natural phenomena like the sight of the frozen lake, rivers roaring alongside your path, sprawling forests of Oak and Fir, vast stretches of snow-covered meadows, quaint little hamlets on the way, and of course, breathtaking views of the various Himalayan peaks, so beautiful that it is almost unreal.
