About Kuari Pass Trek:
The Kuari Pass Trek, also known as Lord Curzon’s Trail, takes you deep in the Garhwal Himalayas, to a maximum altitude of 12,763 ft. This trek in Uttarakhand takes you on one of the most magnificent adventure treks with views of stalwart Himalayan peaks such as Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and its twin Nanda Devi East. The Kuari Pass Trek is considered to be one of the best trekking places in Uttarakhand, known as one of the best tourist places in India.
A circuit trail from Joshimath this hike will take you through snow-capped ranges, quaint villages, rich Himalayan meadows or ‘Bugyals’, and valleys of the skiing capital Auli! Go camping amongst the snow-drifted forest covers in this fantastic adventure trekking experience of a lifetime! The 33 km long Kuari Pass Trek route is considered an easy to moderate difficulty level trek, with mesmerizing views of the glorious Himalayas that will outweigh any physical effort put in to reach the summit!

How to Reach:
➔ As You see above, We have two Kuari Pass trek packages, one includes transport from Dehradun to Joshimath, and one without it.
➔ If you have chosen the alternative which includes transport, then you simply have to meet us at Dehradun.
➔ To reach Dehradun, you can take a direct flight to the Jolly Grant Airport from Delhi.
➔ You can also take a direct train, or even a bus from Delhi, at your convenience.
➔ Alternatively, you can directly reach Joshimath by taking a direct bus from Dehradun to Joshimath.
➔ However, we suggest you join us from Dehradun. The drive from Dehradun to the Kedarkantha base camp itself is enough to bedazzle you.
Itinerary For Kuari Pass Trek with Camping
Day 1 – Rishikesh to Joshimath drive
Scenic Drive to Joshimath
- 7:00 AM Leave from Rishikesh.
- The 10-hour uphill picturesque drive, parallel to streams and rivers, will take you through beautiful sights including Panchprayag – 5 holy confluences to form river Ganga.
- 8:00 PM Dinner followed by an overnight stay at Joshimath Hotel/Homestay.
- Make sure to take proper rest, your 4-day trek starts the next morning!
Day 2 – Joshimath to Gulling via Dhak
12 km drive & 5 km trek (3 hours trek)
- Early breakfast and a 45-minute drive to Dhak village. Your trek begins here! The trail is well-defined and meanders along the mountain ridge with a series of steep and gradual ascents. Passing above Dhauli Ganga, a rain shelter is the first landmark of the trek before reaching Kharchi Village. This takes around 20 minutes to reach.
- The trail for the next 45 minutes ascends gradually, with a few switchbacks in between. Leading towards Lower Tugasi, it is marked with a handful of wheat fields, flower beds, small streams, and thatched-roofed huts.
- Continuing on this path, the Donagiri Peak rises above the clouds. Your tents will be pitched in meadows nearby overlooking the mighty mountains, which shall be a treat to watch at dawn and dusk. The Gulling top is around 2 hours from there nestled between mighty snow-laden mountains.
- Stay in Camps overnight at Gulling.
Day 3 – Gulling Top to Khullara Top
6 kms trekking | 11,122 ft
- Have a good breakfast as you prepare for the 3rd day of your itinerary!
- Hathi Ghodi mountains will peak through the sky throughout the trail.
- The campsite is amidst the alpine meadows at the end of Tali top.
- You can play camp games, have an early dinner, and rest early, for an arduous and exciting trek awaits tomorrow.
- Camping for the night and you get a well-deserved sleep.
Day 4 – Khullara to Kuari Pass and back to Tali top
12 km trek
- Post breakfast, start your trek to Kuari Pass.
- Continue a moderate climb towards the Kuari top. A gradually descending trail from here will bring you to Kuari Pass in about 40 minutes.
- You will be surrounded by towering Garhwal peaks from Kedarnath Peak, Kedardome, and Chaukhambha to the Ghori Parvat, Hathi Parvat, and Dronagiri you trekked through and also Changabang, Nanda Devi, and Nanda Ghunti.
- Breathe in this view after a long rest, and prepare for a return trek to Tali Top along the same path.
- Camp at Tali Top/Khullara for the night and have your dinner.
Day 5 – Trek from Khullara to Dhak | Drive to Joshimath
9 km trek & Drive
- Have breakfast for the last day of your trek.
- Trek from Khullara camps to Dhak Village.
- Take your time, for the sights here, will linger in your memory timelessly. You will breeze over the mighty peaks and forests where you left your trail.
- Take a drive to Joshimath.
- Stay in a hotel/guesthouse at hotels in Joshimath.
Day 6 – Drive back to Rishikesh from Joshimath
8 hours drive
- Post breakfast, depart for Rishikesh with your heart full of past week’s adventurous experience
- Reach back to Rishikesh/Haridwar as now your trip ends.

Confirmation Policy
- Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
- In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.
Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation made 60 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 20% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
- Any cancellation made 30 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 30% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
- Any cancellation made 15-30 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
- Any cancellation made 0-15 days prior to the date of departure, would levy 100% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
